Also included is research and events that has centred around Hinemihi and her communities.

Hinemihi was constructed as a wharenui (meeting house) of the Ngāti Hinemihi hapu (sub-tribe) in Te Wairoa, Aotearoa (New Zealand) in 1881; she was transported to her present location at Clandon Park, Surrey, UK in 1892, and is currently cared for by the National Trust.
